Esteemed author, Walter Isaacson, was the 30th Anniversary CHRISTUS Spohn Lyceum guest speaker at the American Bank Center in April. Approximately 680 people attended and listened to Mr. Isaacson’s presentation on Timeless Leadership. He discussed how remarkable genius figures such as, Leonardo da Vinci, Steve Jobs, Albert Einstein and Benjamin Franklin, had innovative and creative traits that can influence and empower today’s business leaders. Mr. Isaacson also shared his humorous and insightful stories about his time working at TIME Magazine, CNN and the Aspen Institute.

The proceeds of the 2018 Lyceum, thanks to our community and generous donors, will go toward funding the new Robert J. Kleberg, Jr. and Helen C. Kleberg Foundation Level II Trauma Center at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi – Shoreline. The Trauma Center is the only facility of its kind in South Texas, serving the residents in Corpus Christi, Padre Island and surrounding counties including, Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Duval, Jim Hogg, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, Refugio, and San Patricio.

Thanks to everyone who continues to support the Lyceum each year, and to chairperson, Al Jones, all the volunteers and committee members who worked so hard to make this year’s Lyceum successful.
