About the Event

Event Date: Monday, October 21, 2019
Event Location: Corpus Christi Country Club

The CHRISTUS Spohn Grand Classic is considered the premier charity golf tournament in South Texas and year after year remains a sold-out event. Thanks to a generous community, the Grand Classic has raised more than $3 million to support CHRISTUS Spohn in its mission to provide the best health care possible for all South Texans. The support and effort of our volunteers enable us to give so much back to our community.

This year, the proceeds raised from the 2019 Grand Classic will support the Inpatient Rehabilitation Department at CHRISTUS Spohn – Shoreline. Our inpatient rehabilitation program is accredited by The Joint Commission and specializes in treating amputations, brain injury, joint replacements, orthopedic injuries, spinal cord injuries, stroke and trauma injuries. Patients admitted to our rehabilitation department are treated by physical, occupational, speech and recreational therapists as prescribed, as well as pet therapy. Spohn’s rehabilitation department is unique in the Coastal Bend because we offer a Transitional Living Apartment for patients and their caregivers to stay in before they are discharged. This apartment, which mimics a home-like setting, provides patients an opportunity to practice specific daily living skills in order to facilitate the patient’s transition from a hospital setting to community living.
